Tignes (Savoie, Espace Killy) links with Val d'Isère for 300km of high-altitude, snow-sure piste between 1550m and 3456m, with year-round glacier skiing on the Grande Motte and a summer bike park. Camper vans are banned resort-wide in winter, so van travellers base themselves at the free Brévières/Les Boisses car parks or lower down the valley.
