Alpe d'Huez is a large south-facing ski area in the Isère Grandes Rousses, reached by a famous 21-hairpin road, linking five villages (Alpe d'Huez, Auris-en-Oisans, Oz-en-Oisans, Vaujany, Villard-Reculas) with 250km of pistes from 1,869m up to the 3,300m Pic Blanc glacier.
